Cheongyang-gun Municipal Chapter (Head: Kang Seok-jung) held a “Writing Contest on the National Unification Fans” last Aug. 31 on the occasion of the Cheongyang Red Pepper and Chinese Matrimony Vine Fruit Festival to stirrup a national unification movement in the local community.

1,000 “Unification Fans” were distributed to festival visitors who were invited to write their wish for national unification on the fans and a message to people living in North Korea, along with short poems and unification slogans.

Other events were prepared for the youngsters such as painting “national unification and security” on the fans, face painting, photograph shooting in commemoration of participating in the national unification publicity movement and a fund-raising campaign for national unification.
