180 Chiefs Invited, Encouraged
Hyun Kyung-dae, Executive Vice-chairperson of NUAC, invited the diplomatic mission chiefs overseas for a meeting on April 3rd to encourage them in their mission.

They were invited to Lotte Hotel in Seoul for a breakfast meeting, where 180 chiefs, Park Chan-bong, Secretary General of NUAC, and Cho Tae-yul, 2nd Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other Korean ambassadors and consul generals attended including Ambassadors Yoo Heung-soo to Japan, Ahn Ho-young to the USA, Lim Sung-nam to the UK, and Park No-byuk to the Russia Federation.

“We appreciate your devoted efforts and achievements in the front lines of diplomacy for the national benefit of the Republic of Korea. I wish our diplomats will pay special interest to efforts for national unification particularly for improving the human rights of North Korea”, Hyun said in his welcome remarks.

Park Chan-bong, Secretary General of NUAC, also expressed appreciation to NUAC overseas members for their support. “NUAC will channel all its abilities and efforts toward preparing for national unification. I hope you will select and recommend overseas council members of NUAC for the 17th term,” he added.

Kim Jum-jun, Planning & Coordination Officer of NUAC, reported the major overseas business plans for 2015 and composition of the overseas council members of the 17th-term NUAC members.

Lim Sung-nam, Ambassador to the UK, thanked NUAC for the invitation during the breakfast meeting on behalf of the diplomatic mission chiefs overseas and promised that the diplomatic missions would support the overseas activities of NUAC more actively.
