NUAC started its business for the new year by visiting Seoul National Cemetery.
Hyun Kyung-dae, Executive Vice-chairperson of NUAC, paid a visit to Seoul National Cemetery with Park Chan-bong, Secretary General, members of the Central and Executive Committees, 200 senior members of municipal chapters, and secretariat on the first day of the new year to offer flowers at the Memorial Monument at the cemetery and pay respects to the souls of the patriotic martyrs and national heroes who were killed to protect our homeland.
He wrote "Unification! We will attain it by all means" on the guest book.

After the visit to the National Cemetery, Hyun said at the New Year meeting with the attendants at Palace Hotel that unification requires the heart and strong will of the people. He reminded them what President Park, Chairperson of NUAC, stressed at the joint meeting of the Central Executive Committees last Nov. 25 and asked them to promote actively the program supporting about 26,000 North Korean refugees in settling in the South efficiently as soon as possible.
