The Yeongdeungpo-gu Municipal Chapter (head: Kim Won-gook) of Seoul hosted “Youth, Designing Unification - Realistic Roadmap of Unification Dreamed of by the Youth of South and North, South-North Youth Talk Concert Preparing for Unification” at the Seoul Municipal Mullae Youth Training Center Performance Hall on December 9 with the participation of council members and local residents.

During this talk concert, Part 1, which was presided over by Youth Standing Committee Secretary Park Hyun-woo (Chief of Uni Star), included a lecture on the topic of “Reality of Human Rights in North Korea and Preparation for Unification by the Youth” by Kim In-sung, director of the Database Center for North Korean Human Rights.

Part 2 featured a presentation by Park Woo-jin (Theology Dept., Yonsei University) and Oh Gwang-myeong (Chinese Language & Literature Dept., Korea University) who were awarded the Speaker of National Assembly Award and the Minister of Unification Award at the “South-North University Student Unification Preparation Presentation Competition” hosted by the Korea Hana Foundation last October. Park Woo-jin gave a presentation on the topic of “Media Contents Planning for the Social Integration of South and North Korea,” whereas Oh Gwang-myeong gave a presentation on the topic of “Please Draw Our Country.”

The event ended with Kim Seong-ryeol (Masters in Political Science, Yonsei University) and Park Cheol-joon (Political Science, Sogang University) serving as panel to talk about the role of youths in unification and the image of unification in the future.
