The Suwon Municipal Chapter (head: Sohn Jae-pil) of Gyeonggi-do hosted the “Night of Support for North Korean Defectors” at the High End Hotel on December 2 with the participation of around 150 people, including council members and North Korean defectors.

In Part 1, there was a special lecture on the topic of “Kim Jong-un's Immediate Leap Strategy and Nuclear War Scenario” by Doctor Ahn Chan-il; part 2 featured a commendation ceremony for men of merit who pioneered the practice of love of neighbors and development of regional communities through volunteer activities.

Following the commendation ceremony for men of merit, scholarships were presented to 20 children of North Korean defectors, and various prizes were given to North Korean defectors such as rice and bicycles donated by council members. The event ended successfully with the singing of Our Wish.
