The Miami Chapter (head: Steve Seo) held the “2016 Youth Conference of Harmony and Convergence” for three days from November 11 at Hilton Garden Inn Hotel with around 100 people in attendance, including Executive Vice-chairperson Yoo Ho-yeol and around 60 youth council members from 19 chapters as well as important figures in the region.

The conference featured a lecture by Kim Jin-guk, a leader of the next generation from the Washington Chapter, on “How North Korean policies and information by the US government change North Korea” as well as debate sessions and presentations on issues such as “unification facilitated by youth members” and “development of next-generation leaders.”

Also held were a special lecture by Mark Keam, a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, and a unification lecture by Lee Hyun-seo, a North Korean defector, on the reality of North Korean human rights.
