The Gangnam-gu Municipal Chapter (head: Kim Jeong-heon) of Seoul hosted the  “Gangnam Unification Culture Festival Hoping for Unification” on November 5 with around 700 people in attendance including Secretary General Kwon Tae-oh, Gangnam-gu Mayor Shin Yeon-hee, National Assembly Member Lee Jong-koo, Lee Eun-jae, and Gangnam-gu Council Chairperson Yang Seung-mi as well as council members, local residents, and foreigners.

First, in “Unification Talk where Two become One,” Kim Hyuk, who was living as a Kotjebi (North Korean homeless children) in North Korea but defected to a new life, and Kang Chun-hyuk, who performed at Show Me the Money, spoke on the theme “A Kotjebi blossoms in the Republic of Korea” in order to discuss the reality of North Korea, process of defection, and life in South Korea.

In the second part “Unification Music Concert where Two Become One,” various musicians including those from the Woori Art Cultural Center, Bongeun Gugak Orchestra, and Voice Orchestra I Maestri led by Director Yang Jae-moo presented the melody of beautiful autumn to the audience.
