The New Zealand Chapter (head: Do Eon-tae) and Cornell Institute of Business & Technology invited Consul General Cha Chang-soon of the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Auckland, MP Melissa Lee, and around 80 Korean War veterans and their family members in Auckland on September 1 in order to show gratitude for veterans who fought to protect freedom in Korea.

A veteran who said he participated in the Korean War when he was 20 years old expressed gratitude for this event. “Korea, where I fought by sacrificing my youth, is an unforgettable and precious country,” he said.
