The Dongdaemun-gu Municipal Chapter (head: Oh Gwang-soo) of Seoul hosted the “One Mind Concert Wishing for Peaceful Unification” on September 3 at the outdoor concert hall of Baebongsan Neighborhood Park in Dongdaemun-gu.

This music concert, which aimed to unify the will of Dongdaemun-gu residents for peaceful unification and to prepare for unification with a unified spirit, was a huge success, with around 2,000 residents of Dongdaemun-gu in attendance. Performers like Dongdaemun-gu Children’s Choir, Soprano Lee Soon-wha, and Master singer Kim Keum-sook planted the spirit of unification in the hearts of the residents through beautiful songs in the evening of early fall.

“Citizens can take great leaps by overcoming barriers if they unite, but they will fall if they divide,” said Secretary General Kwon Tae-oh who was invited to the music concert. He called on the attendees to “make a unified Korea by tearing down the barriers among regions, generations, and classes for unity, just as various instruments and songs of various genres unite to create beautiful harmony.”
