The Miami Municipal Chapter (Head: Goo Ja-hyun) awarded the 9th Essay Writing Contest winners and held a unification lecture on Mar. 8 at Coiwan Restaurant in Orlando, Miami. Held last Jan. 15 ~ Feb. 18, the contest had 55 students -- 23 elementary school students, 14 middle school students, and 18 high school students -- submitting their essays. They were evaluated by Prof. Yoon Jeong-won of South Florida Univ. and Prof. Jung Eun-gyeong of the Dept. of Library and Information Science of Ewha Women's Univ. (now an exchange professor at USF). Prof. Wu Jong Seok from the Dept. of Political Science of the Univ. of South Florida gave a special lecture on the "Road map for the unification of the Korean peninsula."
