The Gangwon Provincial Assembly (vice-chairperson: Park Yong-seong) hosted the 31st Gangwon Peaceful Unification Forum in the afternoon of November 14 with the attendance of around 120 people including Gangwon vice-chairperson Park Yong-seong, Gangneung Deputy Mayor Kim Chul-lae, and heads of 18 municipal chapters, members of Gangwon Forum, and council members.

The Gangwon Peaceful Unification Forum, which was presided over by Oh Gyeong-shik, the executive chairman of the forum, featured a keynote presentation on the “Issue of human rights in North Korea and our rightful response” by Lee Su-seok, head of the unification strategy research office at the Institute for National Security Strategy, and a designated debate session by Professor Kang Won-sik of Catholic Kwandong University.
